Organic Golden Garbanzo Beans
Garbanzo beans (a.k.a. chickpeas) were first grown in the Middle East about 7,000 years ago, then spread to India and Ethiopia. Today, this Mediterranean staple is
enjoyed around the world, a great source of protein in dishes of all kinds.
High in protein & iron, pair garbanzo beans with whole grains for vegetarian complete protein without the saturated fat or cholesterol of meat or dairy. Get spicy
with bean curries & dals, or make Middle Eastern faves like hummus and falafel. Its hearty texture makes the garbanzo bean a favorite meat substitute in everything
from burritos to baked casseroles. Want a sweet or savory crunchy snack? Toss garbanzo beans with oil, sprinkle with salt & pepper or cinnamon & sugar. Bake
until crisp & crunchy.
